Rescue:

Pet Patrol received and email from a couple concerned about re homing their cat Lola. They
have had her since she was quite young and now their life has changed and created hardships for them Lola needs a new home: “Hello guys, I know that this is not the message that
we normally would like to see, but just wondering if you accept surrendered cats. I feel awful
for doing it, but my financial situation has changed drastically and my wife and I agreed on
surrendering Lola. Do you have space for a four years old cat? She is a great indoor cat,
doing fine at home, and super playful. Once again, I am sorry, I wish I would be the guy bringing good news and even donating. I am so sorry.” It always pulls at your heart to have to re
home a pet in your care, they are family and loved from day one, but in this society, after Covid
which affected everyone at some point, lives change beyond our control.

Personality:

Lola loves playing with lasers, fake mice and simple paper balls. She is a gentle cat who
would do best in an adult home without other pets or children. She loves sleeping next to you,
especially while you are working and cuddles up at bedtime, she is good company once she
adjusts to her new environment and likes listening to music with you. She failed the “Be a
hunter” cat course and is just amused by bugs that make their way into the house or birds
outside at the feeder. She is quite comfortable watching the world outside from a nice window
perch, basking in the sun and taking in the neighbourhood. Lola is a sweet cat who will make
someone happy and help her along the way through her life. She is ready to be adopted into
her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
