ADOPTION PROFILE

Moonie

Moonie

Moonie

Rescue:

Moonie is from a remote and functioning farm. In this very secluded area, veterinarian care is
far away, spay/neuter clinics are nonexistent and the cost to have cats spayed or neutered at
the vet is very high. It’s not feasible for a farming community to pay $300 or so to have a barn
cat fixed. So, these kittens were born, along with nine others and rescue organizations in the
area were called to help. When he first came into Pet Patrol care, he was quite unsure about
his environment and what to expect. It didn’t take him long to settle in and start playing with
toys. Little Moonie is easy to pick up and cuddle, which shows that the people on the farm did
a good job socializing him. He is a lucky little tyke as he only weighed one pound upon arrival
and was quite weak. With good nutrition and care he has thrived.

Personality:

Mooney is a sweet quiet boy who happily naps in a cat cave like bed. He enjoys playing hide
and seek and will quickly pop out when a springy toy passes his domain. After a little toy action, he will enjoy a cuddle on your lap where he happily looks up at you requesting scratches
under his chin and behind his ears. Listen carefully and you will hear his quiet purr telling you
he is one contented boy. Another favorite spot to lounge is the top of the cat tree curled up in
the sun. Moonie is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into
the family and keep him safely indoors
