Rescue:
Baby Richard, named by his rescuer, was found out in a flowerbed. A woman who was doing a
bit of gardening could hear a kitten crying very loudly and desperately . She followed the cries
to her apple orchard and finally saw a really tiny kitten, cold and wet. He immediately came
running to her and she picked him up. She held him close as he was shivering and she started
looking for more siblings. She went to the barn to see if any of the mother cats were missing a
kitten abut felt that he was somehow abandoned and she really didn’t know from where. After
she warmed him up and fed him well, she called a woman living in her community who was a
volunteer for Pet Patrol. Soon Richard was on his way to the sanctuary. He was accepted by a
mother cat who was caring for another kitten at that time and he settled right in.
Personality:
“Richard is the snuggliest, most determined kitten his foster mom has ever seen. If you do not
pick him up immediately, as soon as you enter the room, he will either climb up your leg or
jump onto a higher surface so he can leap directly into your arms. He has the loudest purr ever,
and whenever he is being held or pet is always purring, even if he falls asleep. He adores
everyone he meets, be it other cats, dogs, even kids. He is always looking for his next adventure and loves playing with his foster siblings all day long, and then jumping onto his humans’
lap for some much needed cuddles” This sweet boy is ready to be adopted into his forever
home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
