Rescue:
Little Danae did not know what to do when she came to the sanctuary. She had never been
away from her momma before and was quite distraught. Her mom was a stray cat who had
wandered into the right yard as the people who noticed her were big cat lovers. She was a
timid cat to begin with, but with regular feedings and some kinds words she began to come
out of her shell and eagerly accepted petting. They kindly brought her indoors to be comfortable and decided to keep her but she must be spayed and vaccinated and an appointment
was set with their vet. However, to their surprise, little Danae and her sibling were born soon
after her arrival. Just two to the litter, but unfortunately, her brother did not thrive. Danae was
now the only kitten and they enjoyed raising her immensely. As she reached eight weeks of
age, they sought out a friend of theirs who had connections with cat rescue organizations to
help rehome Danae. They wished they could have kept her but it just wasn’t in the cards.
Personality:
Such a sweet and gentle little kitten, it is obvious that she has been raised in a loving and
nurturing environment. The family treated her well, introduced her to toys, being picked up,
cuddled and handled. She has done well. Now in the sanctuary she has found a best buddy in
another kitten, her same age, Ulan, who accepted her right off the bat. She is not lonely now
without her mom and the two of them get along well. Danae is now ready to be adopted into
her forever home with a playmate, hopefully Ulan. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
