Rescue:
A man on social assistance called Pet Patrol looking for some help. He had eight kittens in
his home! How does that happen? It appears that he and his family have two female cats, but
they could not afford the high prices that were quoted them from the different vet clinics to
have them spayed. At one point the man’s brother needed a place to stay for a short period of
time and moved in with him, but he had a male cat, also not altered. As would happen, because the cat was not kept separate from both of the female cats, they became pregnant. The
first litter came into Pet Patrol care at nine weeks of age, and the second litter followed when
weaned (this is Edward and his siblings Eugene, Elliot and Ella). All the kittens have been
lovingly handled by children in a family setting, and treated with kindness and respect
Personality:
Edward is an investigator, if he sees movement he will stalk it, run after it and pounce – and
he gets it every time. He catches moving toes, hair, blankets and springy toys . His favourite
toys are scrunchies. As an active kitten he likes to be on top of the cat trees surveying the
room or what is going on outside, he likes to know where everyone is and what they are doing.
He enjoys a good pet and likes to hang around on or beside you. Edward is not shy at all
and loves the attention of his caregivers. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home
with a playmate or sibling. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
