Rescue:

A woman who lives in a very small town, off the beaten path, did cat rescue for many, many
years. But now that she’s on her own, and with health concerns she no longer takes in cats
without the intention of finding them new homes. There are always people calling her for
assistance. Girlie was in a home that was very cluttered, and
the people there felt she would be better off in a new home. She was found as a stray but it is
suspected that she was born to a feral mother cat from across the road. Many cats migrated
to this haphazard property when their shelter, a local cattle barn was torn down. The lady who
was feeding this pretty Calico tabby, managed to rescue her and bring her inside while she
was pregnant, but sadly, her sole kitten passed away. Girlie is fairly tiny but she is a survivor
and ready to find her new home.

Personality:

This petite little cat has very short Siamese like fur that is smooth and soft. She has big beautiful green eyes and the sweetest purr. When receiving attention she will immediately roll over
onto her side and look up at you with love and adoration. She is adorable. She is still learning
about toys and what they are for, her life before was without fun and not much to pique her
curiosity. Since coming to the sanctuary she has discovered the wide sunny window ledges,
scratching posts and the love from our volunteers. Girlie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
