Rescue:
Pet Patrol received this email message about a pretty little mama cat and her four babies:
“Hi, I brought an orange barn cat to you earlier this year from an abandoned barn. “Rusty”
looks like he was adopted. That was wonderful to see. Well, a new cat is hanging around and
she just moved four kittens under my deck. I am always in a heart struggle whether to feed her
or not because she will stay. We have my son’s dog coming here a lot and it just causes too
much stress and commotion (he barks a lot). We don’t want to upset the mother cat. I’d like to
bring mama and the four tiny babies in if that’s okay?” This was the beginning of summer and
the weather was hot but the nights were cold, which is not good for wee babies living under a
deck and curled up in dry leaves. Soon Twinkie and her four kittens, Tamali, Twix, Twizzle and
Tootsie were in Pet Patrol care.
Personality:
Tootsie, like her siblings, is very playful and active, fun loving and interested in what her people
are doing. She is curious and investigative, wondering what is behind that door, in the closet
and what does this cardboard box have that she can create fun with. She can easily be
picked up and cuddled, will crawl into your lap and will gently fall asleep with kitty massages
and ear rubs. Tootsie is looking to be adopted where there is a playmate for her or with one of
her siblings as she would be quite lonely without the companionship. She is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
