ADOPTION PROFILE

Samuel

Rescue:

There is a very kind woman who lives in a small village off the highway. She has, for years,
been working on controlling the cat colony that migrates to her property from the neighbour’s
horse farm. It is located kitty corner to her back lot and from an opening in the tree line you
can see about five acres of abandoned trailers, skids of wood, sheds and dumpsters. Beyond that is the single story barn where the cats house themselves in the winter months. During the summer, they can be found in and amongst the metal clutter trying finding shelter from
the heat and humidity. Initially very few of the cats had been spayed or neutered, the cats
would naturally become pregnant and the mother cats would come to her property where she
has an empty chicken coop. There they have their kittens (Samuel and his siblings) in privacy
and away from predators. She checks the little coop often and once kittens are found she
brings them and their moms into safety and then on to Pet Patrol. Over the past ten years she
has had more than forty cats from the neighbour’s property rescued and/or altered; as they
were not involved with controlling the over population of cats on their property

Personality:

Samuel, like his four other tuxedo siblings needed some sophisticated names. Although they
look alike, and are all purring machines, their personalities are very different. Samuel is affectionately known by his foster family as Sammy, and he is the shy one of the bunch. Once he
learns to trust you he is snuggly and sweet, and will make your heart melt. He may just be
bowled over by his busy brothers, and once adopted will show his more outgoing personality,
but he is affectionate and gentle. He is a very quiet kitty with only an occasional mew but with a
beautiful loud purr. Samuel is ready to be adopted into his forever home where there is a
sibling or playmate. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
