Rescue:
One of Pet Patrol‘s long time volunteers, who lives in a very small village off the main
highway, had noticed a number of black and white cats appearing on her property on an
irregular basis. One here, one there and she figured they were from a local farm that had just
been sold. The barn was now boarded up and the cats were not allowed entry, leaving
them homeless. A number of cats with their kittens in tow had shown up to her dependable feeding station. They have been rescued and the next one to show up was Breeah.
She had an ear tip which is an international sign of a feral cat, or a barn cat, spayed or
neutered. Brea was different than some of the others as she was so extremely friendly.
She would flop over and let you pet her belly she could be picked up and cuddled. Most
cats that are ear tipped have Microchips and when we checked to see who the owner was
she belonged to the people whose farm was sold. They had moved the year before and
Breeah had finally made her way to our volunteers’ property. Where she spent the winter,
we don’t know but this friendly cat has certainly made herself comfortable at the sanctuary
and was welcomed into Pet Patrol care
Personality:
She is so incredibly sweet. Breeah is adorable and probably was the favourite of the farm
property. She was treated well with love and affection but unfortunately after trusting people to care for her she was left homeless. She has learned about toys here at the sanctuary, she wasn’t sure what to do with them at first because they didn’t wiggle and run. But
once she started to paw at the ball, or swat at a string or the wand toys she was hooked.
And catnip! That is the best toy ever. Breeah is now ready to be adopted into her forever
home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
