Rescue:

Cedric and his siblings/cousins were brought to Pet Patrol unexpectedly. We received a phone
call saying that a woman, who had many, many cats in her home, was in the nearby town looking
for a rescue to help take in some of the cats. She had five in her car. We gladly took them in, not
knowing what she would do if we didn’t, but were already near capacity and unsure of how to
house five more. We tried to find out the full story and it seems that these cats were from an
extreme hoarding situation. The house is so badly cluttered and infested with bugs, rotting food
and feces that animal welfare was called in to investigate. In the end Pet Patrol received five
cats, two other rescues took eight each and a city shelter took almost twenty. They are all lovely
cats, friendly and gentle, but all had upper respiratory and had been ongoing for a while. The cats
responded exceedingly well to the medical care provided and are now ready for adoption

Personality:

From his foster Dad: Cedric took a little time and did a whole lot of singing to get comfortable in
his foster home, but being able to see how other cats act gave him something to copy and learn
how to be a cat with people. His favorite pastimes are chasing the feather toy controlled by his
human subjects, a pink crinkle toy, occasionally a spring, but the best toys are the Cosmic Catnip
stuffed fish. He loves to be pet, especially on the bed, but if you get up he will always be quick to
take your nice warm spot. This very attractive cat is also prone to the zoomies around 10pm at
night where he runs up and down the hallway trying to get the resident cats to join him. He needs
to have a friend around the same age as he is unhappy without another cat to wrestle with, and
would annoy an elderly feline. Cedric had become quite a fan of having his head scratched
followed by full body massages. With a little time to gain full trust Cedric will be a very loyal companion, he spends as much time with his foster Dad as the other cats in the house do. All in all
Cedric is a fun cat to have around, he is very good at putting a smile on your face whenever he is
around.
