Barbie

Rescue:

Sitting on her balcony catching the last few warm hours of fall an elderly woman noticed a
car pull into the parking lot of her apartment building. She didn’t recognize the car and she
had lived there for many many years but when the car pulled out quickly she suddenly saw
a number of cats. It seems that they have been dumped. this is very sad and there are
laws against abandoning cats, but she did not see the person or license plate. The cats
were frightened and she started putting food out on her balcony for them, and soon they
came to retrieve it, and were welcomed inside her apartment. Now five months later they
have reached maturity and are starting to breed. This is where this pretty mama cat and six
babies came from. There are many others there as well and she was recommended to
contact a local city shelter as well as other rescue groups to help with spaying and neutering.
this little colony. There are just too many for one cat rescue organization to handle all at
once. The sad part is these cats are not social.

Personality:

Barbie and her siblings are lovely little cats who have been raised in a family home. They
are used to children being around, being picked up,pet and cuddled. All like to run and
play with toys especially anything that they can climb or run through like the cat tree and
kitty tunnel. They are happy go lucky kittens and quite curious as well. Not much gets by
them as they like to see the comings and goings of the home and be part of the family. Barbie is a little princess by day and ready to rumble by night. A good girl who likes to take a rest on your lap after her wrestling match.
Barbie, like all kittens would like to have a playmate in her new home, either a sibling or
resident pet that is gentle and will play with her. She is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
