Rescue:

Rupert and Roxanne’s mom was named Reba, and she was a street cat who just showed up
one day last summer. She took up living on the back deck of a country home, finding shelter
underneath it and eventually her first litter of kittens was born under there as well. Not being
fixed by the people who fed her, Reba had a second litter of four babies (Rupert and Roxanne
included) during the snow storm at the end of March. By this time, they had provided her with
a heated cat house and heard the wee peeps of babies. Thinking it is not the best weather to
have kittens outside, and after not sleeping all night worrying about them, the woman moved
the babies into a box and then took Reba into spare room in the house. Reba was concerned
until she saw her kittens and then settled right in. They were raised indoors with people who
loved them showed them tender loving care and had lots of play time.

Personality:

Rupert and Roxanne both quite attached to each other, and their personalities complement
each other. Roxanne was the smallest of the litter, a brave little cat who wants to see what is
new and happening in the room, poking her head into paper bags, boxes and if the cupboard
door is opened then she must see what is inside. Rupert will start games of Chase with his
siblings and may even steal the toy they are all after and run off with it. So cute. They really
enjoy the kitty tunnel or toys that crinkle and games of Hide & Seek. Rufus was definitely a
momma’s boy loving to be near her but is just as cuddly with his people. He is gentle, laid
back and holds his own when wrestling with his siblings but will leave when he has had
enough. Both are used to being picked up and cuddled, and are ready to be adopted into
their forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely
indoors.
