Rescue:
Denali caught everyone’s attention, when he was first rescued, as he did a little tippy tappy
with his feet because he is so happy to see them. He originally came from a back street
breeder who could no longer keep up with the over population of cats in her home. There was
a colony of twenty odd cats in the house and eventually they were all removed but it took a bit
of time. The house was very cluttered and unkempt, there was just pathways from one room to
the other and the cats were everywhere, trying to find a stable and clean spot to rest. The first
cat rescue organization was small and had taken in twelve other kittens, which is quite a feat.
They all came into care with a variety of health issues including runny eyes, upper respiratory
and bowel issues. But all were friendly and affectionate like Denali and were well cared for
there. Denali was not responding as well to the medication and came to Pet Patrol for further
diagnostics, mostly because he was not digesting his food well. He has since become a very
robust, active and super friendly boy
Personality:
Denali is a very active, adventurous boy with no fear. He needs to see everything! He loves to
run around with the other cats and play games of Tag and Hide & Seek. Diving into the kitty
tunnel and scaling the cat tree are definitely on his daily list of things to do. He is a dear boy
who calms down immediately after you hold him in your arms petting him. He definitely sleeps
soundly after all that activity. It is a must that he have an equally active playmate, as he is full of
energy and needs that outlet. More than just a person or two could provide. He is a very
special kitty. Denali had a rough start medically, but seems to be on the mend now and ready
to find his new home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
