Rescue:

A long time volunteer for Pet Patrol, who had not been able to come and help for quite a while,
sent a text saying that she had a lovely champagne and white cat who had ventured into her barn.
She is located on a farm property, on a gravel road, which means it is far off the beaten track, in
the middle of nowhere. So, for a cat to show up there it has been purposely abandoned in some
way. When did she first see him? In the early spring when the ground was wet with rain or snow,
the wind was cold and the nights dipped to below zero. He appeared in her barn and disappeared just as quickly, returning three weeks later. When the weather started to warm up a bit he
chose to stay. Because she has two large dogs that scare off most cats and critters, she
wasn’t surprised that he kept his distance. But one day she sat on the lawn, held the bowl of food
in her hand and he stayed close. She was able to touch the top of his head and within two days
he was rolling around in the grass being silly. Soon he was brought to Pet Patrol care to find a
permanent loving home.

Personality:

This handsome boy has been a charmer from the minute he arrived at the sanctuary. He is gentle and sweet, still rolls around for a belly rub and loves his people. He is super friendly and
affectionate. He seems to be fine with other cats and he is learning about toys. He seemed
disinterested at first but seems to have caught on, especially if there is catnip involved. Chuck is
easy to be picked up and carried, he is a lap cat and a cuddler. He appreciates being cared for,
kept inside and all the safe and wonderful things about living indoors. Chuck is a doll and ready
to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
