Rescue:
Pet Patrol was approached by a woman who had done cat rescue many years ago. In order to
accommodate the cats, she moved to a home in a smaller village where the cat overpopulation problem continues. Now retired from the business she is helping other people rescue cats
but not taking so many herself. She has come across a property where the barn was torn down
and the farmland is going to be re-purposed for a subdivision. This is not an uncommon thing
and what tends to happen is the cats migrate into the closest neighbourhood for shelter and
hopefully for food. One kind woman has been feeding these cats but she has not been able to
do much for more for them due to finances and health issues. Our retired Rescuer is in the
process of helping get the feral cats fixed and the friendly cats into other rescues to be
adopted into forever homes. This is the case of Chester and Charlie, clearly brothers, who
showed up as strays. They were a little discheveled at first, but it did not take much time for
them to look and feel better with good nutrition and positive attention from people.
Personality:
Chester and Charlie are best buddies and brothers who love each other. Charlie is the spokesperson for the pair and lets you know when they are wanting dinner and cuddle time. He loves to
bat around balls with bells and feathers. Chester is the follower of the two and loves belly rubs
and balls of yarn. Both know when its bedtime and suddenly appear for snuggles. They both will
curl up to you under the blankets, tucked into your neck/shoulder or sleep on your chest. They
have recently discovered the cat tree and noticed there is a nice big window to look out of and
watch the yard. Many hours are spent on the perch happily watching the neighborhood. Chester
and Charlie are now ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them
into the family and keep them safely indoors.
