Rescue:

A young man left a message with Pet Patrol saying that he knows of a cat that was not being
looked after. This always raises alarm bells and we need to get as much information as possible. He describes the cat as dirty, unhealthy and being kept in a carrier. Wow! But further
into the conversation the story was clarified. This lovely boy named Skipp was originally living
in a rundown shed in an older man’s backyard. The man fed his dogs better than he fed the
cats according to anyone who knew him. The environment for the cats was very poor and
inside the shed was storage and some cat carriers where the cats took refuge. Knowing that
Skipp was very friendly the young man brought this kitty home in hopes of finding someone to
adopt him but because Skipp was not neutered, there were no takers. When Skipp arrived at
Pet Patrol his coat was clean, he was bright, alert and happy because in the short time he was
at the young man’s home he was well cared for.. Skipp is now looking for a home.

Personality:

As an active, playful cat Skipp has shown a great interest in toys with catnip in them and those
that he can swat at and chase (balls, laser pen light and wand toys) He is a nice boy and is
very interested in people, other cats and is social with everyone. After playtime and cuddles
he likes to look out the window and watch everything that’s going on, even traffic intrigues him.
Basking in the warmth of the sun beam is always a favourite activity. Skipp is still learning
about living in a home, but is adapting easily. Such an affectionate and cuddly boy, he will
readily bunt his head into your hand for pets, nudge your hand for more and purr deeply. Such a
wonderful cat. Skipp is now ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
