Rescue:

Sassy is a petite little cat who unfortunately had to leave her rescue home. Her little life began
sadly and could have been tragic except for the efforts of a woman who eventually took her in
and provided her with love and care. Sassy, as a small kitten, was found in the bottom of a
dumpster sick and close to dying. This is one of the most helpless places that a cat can be
abandoned in, treated like trash and could be smothered or squashed not to mention the filth.
Unbelievable. The woman climbed right in and saved Sassy – so small at the time that she fit
in her pocket. Things improved beautifully for Sassy, she blossomed into a healthy, loving and
playful kitty but then life changed. The woman, because of the economy during Covid had to
move back home and was unable to take her pets with her. She reached out to family and
friends so that she would be able to keep in touch, but there were no takers, maybe because
Sassy was not spayed at that time. Eventually she found a smaller cat rescue, who then contacted Pet Patrol

Personality:

Since her dramatic rescue this pretty girl has thoroughly enjoyed the indoor life, climate controlled house, soft beds and lots of food and places to have a cozy nap. In her new home she
had a dog buddy who she cuddled with, and they would play together. Sassy is quite chatty,
and lets you know what she wants, whether it is attention or her treat and as a playful cat she
finds fun everywhere. She loves to play and is very active with her toys, and those that are
interactive with her people. As a cuddly cat she will curl up under the blankets on the bed, or
snuggle in for a cuddle on the couch. She knows her name and will come running to you when
called. Sassy is a lovely cat who is deserving of a home that will love her as much as her
rescuer did. She is very sweet and gentle and will be a nice addition to a home. Sassy is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
