Hannah

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a phone call from a man and his wife who have a farm property. He explained that they do things in the traditional way, they don’t have cars instead they have horse
and buggy. One day in the early winter, when it was just starting to snow, this pretty little Calico
suddenly showed up in their barn. They have no other cats so she was noticed immediately.
They thought “well I guess now we have a cat” and welcomed her into their lives. She was
provided with shelter, food and fresh water in the barn and soon after she had a litter of kittens.
They named her Hannah and she showed them that she was very friendly and affectionate,
happy to be with people and purrs readily. When they called Pet Patrol for some guidance it
was by now the middle of winter and knowing that she will have more kittens once the weather
warms up they thought they should seek out a new home for her. The couple had decided,
because she is so friendly, that she deserves a better home than living in a barn. They arranged a time to bring her to the sanctuary where we met a sweet natured and friendly girl.

Personality:

Hannah was a little bewildered by her travels in a cage inside the closed in buggy, and then
seeing the other cats at the sanctuary. She has settled into our care very quickly though,
accepting petting and ear rubs immediately. It was a challenge to take her photo because she
would look at you and then slowly sink to the floor and flop over on her back, only to look at you
upside down. She is a very endearing cat and easy to give affection to. Brushing and petting
her is wonderful as she smiles up at you with love and gives you a satisfying deep purr.
Hannah is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
