Mia

Rescue:

A note from her rescuer: This cutie pie was first spotted at someone’s house in a small town
about 20 minute drive from the city. She appeared to be thin and a bit bedraggled and since
she was friendly the woman felt the cat may be lost. She took a picture and posted it on the
local Facebook page to see if she belonged to anyone. As time went by and no one came
forward the woman did a little investigating and discovered this little feline was porch hopping
from house to house hoping someone would take her in, but no one would. In the meantime,
she was still living on the street, in the middle of winter until one kind lady spotted her sitting in
the middle of the road and brought her in from the cold. She knew she couldn’t keep little Mia,
but didn’t want to see such a nice girl become prey, hit by a car or become ill. The lady
thought she was about six months of age but the vet examination suggested closer to a year
old. She has turned out to be an absolute delight and loves people

Personality:

Mia is adorable and is friendly with everyone. At first, while she was at the sanctuary, she
wasn’t too interested in the other cats, but as time went on and she observed them, she was
much better. A slow introduction is recommended if there are other pets in her new home. Mia
loves people and readily comes to you for petting and a nice chin scratch. She loves her toys
and can be found rolling around on the floor with a catnip toy or swatting at anything that dangles.
She likes to observe the birds and squirrels outside at the feeders, but has no inclination
to go out there again. Mia is a very nice cat who will make a wonderful addition to any loving
family. She is ready for her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
