Iliana

Rescue:

This email was received late on a Saturday evening sent to Pet Patrol: “A long haired brown
tabby and white cat that is homeless is now in my garage for the night with heat, water, food
and a bed. Her fur is extremely matted. I saw and fed her back in the deep cold of January
and was hoping for her to return for more food but she never did. She has now showed up and
has let me pet her and pick her up, extremely friendly. The mat is so bad on her back end. Call
me in the morning. I cannot have the cat in my home. there are severe allergies with some
family members.” The woman was sincerely worried about this cat, as no one had responded
to the local social media plea that she had sent out, and did not want to see her left out in the
cold any more. After about a week at the sanctuary and still no original owner being found, Pet
Patrol provided Iliana with a name, vet examination, vaccinations and microchip.

Personality:

Iliana is a wonderful cat who just wants love and someone to give her affection and their time.
She meows and coos to let you know that she would like your attention and will settle in for a
cuddle and lap nap. She is very playful and will chase the laser pointers and anything that
dangles from the cat wands toy. A nice past time for her is to watch the critters outside through
the window, squirrels, birds and people walking their dogs. She is quite the neighbourhood
watch cat but does not like cars and will growl at them when they zoom by. Very interesting.
Iliana is ready to be adopted into a loving adult home that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
