Rescue:
Cleopatra is a very regal and elegant name for this pretty tortoiseshell cat. She carries herself
quite well and, as friendly as she is, she somehow found herself completely abandoned on the
streets. She was found in a small town trying to fend for herself in foreign territory, and it was
obvious that she was preowned and now lost or abandoned. When she was first noticed it was at
a feeding station provided for the street cats (food and fresh water are put out daily and shelter is
supplied too). But this Torti came to the colony manager for attention first before heading to the
food dish, shared by several other cats. Recognizing that she’s friendly and someone could be
looking for her, her photo was posted on social media locally but no owner was ever found.
Quickly she was brought into care and onto a smaller cat rescue and then referred to Pet Patrol.
Personality:
It is obvious that Cleopatra was meant to be an indoor cat with a family. She is very affectionate
and loves everyone. She is alert, interested in her surroundings and happy to be inside. It has
been wonderful to watch her become playful with toys and she leaps up onto the cat tree for the
best view through the window and of the room. She likes to see who is coming and going. She is
an adorable cat and while in her first foster home she was housed with Darcie, a Classic Brown
Tabby, and they have become Best Friends Forever. It is very sweet to see the two of them
cuddled up together or chasing a wand toy. It would be nice for them to be adopted together.
Cleopatra is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family
and keep her safely indoors
