Rescue:

Shadow and Salem were originally adopted from up north as bonded brothers. They were
adopted by a nice, cat loving family from the city shelter at seven months of age. Not having
any background information on the boys but being young the couple felt the kittens would
adjust easily. Unfortunately it did not turn out that way. Shadow is not big on life with a toddler
(unlike Salem who became the child’s best friend and protector). The family tried everything
to help Shadow feel at home but it was clear he’d be happier somewhere with a more consistent
routine. As such, the family reached out to Pet Patrol in hope that these two would find the
perfect match.

Personality:

The brothers are best friends, love to play, wrestle and chase around the house. Their favourite
toys are squeaky mouse toys, crinkle balls and the occasional dangling wand toy. Don’t be
fooled by Shadow’s shy nature, because once he warms up to you he is a HUGE cuddler. He
loves to sit on your lap while you watch TV, and even enjoys watching TV when you aren’t
around – it’s one of his favourite pastimes. Like his brother Shadow likes watching birds and
squirrels out the window and lounging in the cat is part of his daily routine. Salem is the adventurous
one and loves to know what’s going on and be right in the action. He appreciates a
good pet or cuddle now and then. He is quite adorable after he has stalked and pounced on a
toy mouse, then carries it around the house, proud as anything with it in his mouth. Both
Shadow and Salem are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome
them into the family and keep them safely indoors
