Rescue:

It is a sad story for Sparkles. She is a very pretty and sweet cat who will purr and push her
head into your hand. She’s quite loving and affectionate and her life, so far, has been miserable.
As a cat of age, she has spent all eight years of her life living in just one bedroom,
with four other cats. The home was occupied by an alcoholic husband and wife, they were
hoarders as well, which makes for an unsafe and deplorable environment. The wife suddenly
died and the husband would not have anything to do with the cats before, and continued that
path of resistance. All five of the cats have lived their life in this one room. Why? Because
they owned a dog that would destroy the cats. Instead of finding good homes for them so they
can live a normal life she chose to keep them isolated. It had taken quite some time for Sparkles
to settle into the sanctuary, as her life has been completely turned upside down, but now in
a foster home, she has blossomed

Personality:

Sparkles is a very calm and gentle girl. When she first arrived at her foster home she preferred
to sit back and watch her surroundings, but once she became comfortable she comes out to
explore, finding new places to lay down and toys to play with. She isn’t shy about meeting new
people and loves getting head scratches from everyone, and she shows her affection by
giving them lots of kitten licks. Sparkles will hop in bed and curl up next to her person to sleep
and chase around her toy mouse when its play time. This pretty girl gets along with other cats
and would do well in a quiet home. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that
will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
