Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who lives in a small town. She does cat
rescue and re homing and has been very helpful with bottle feeding kittens in the past.
She reached out to Pet Patrol to see if we had a foster home for Buttons and her siblings,
and luckily, we did. Here is their story, told by their cat rescue care giver: “They are adorable
and settling down in our care. We have no space for them as we have more coming in
from the same property, a farm. These kittens were all born indoors to a mother cat who
was allowed to be indoor/outdoor. The family is going to have her spayed and then keep
her as a family pet. She arrived at their property late in the fall, super friendly and affectionate.
They took her to the local vet and had her scanned for a microchip but none was
found and they then assumed, because there are a lot of farms and barns around them,
that she migrated from one of them and stayed because they fed her well. Shortly after
that it was noticed she was pregnant and the family brought her indoors and the children
helped to raise the kittens to be family friendly
Personality:
Buttons is a beautiful kitten with a lively personality. She was a little shy when she first
arrived at her foster home, but after a couple days she was loving life with her new people.
She is known to follow her family around and doesn’t miss anything as she is curious and
interested in everything. Buttons climbs up on laps and requests more pets, she loves to
sleep on people’s laps with blankets and snuggles right in, purring contently. Like all kittens
she is active and adventurous. She bounds around after her siblings in games of
Chase, jumps and swats at the wand toys and loves the top perch of the cat tree. What a
nice little cat. Buttons is ready to be adopted into her forever home with a playmate or
sibling. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
