Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who lives in a small town. She does cat
rescue and re homing and has been very helpful with bottle feeding kittens in the past.
She reached out to Pet Patrol to see if we had a foster home for Briar and Brooks and her
siblings, and luckily, we did. Here is their story, told by their cat rescue care giver: “They
are adorable and settling down in our care. We have no space for them as we have more
coming in from the same property, a farm. These kittens were all born indoors to a mother
cat who was allowed to be indoor/outdoor. The family is going to have her spayed and
then keep her as a family pet. She arrived at their property late in the fall, super friendly
and affectionate. They took her to the local vet and had her scanned for a microchip but
none was found and they then assumed, because there are a lot of farms and barns
around them, that she migrated from one of them and stayed because they fed her well.
Shortly after that it was noticed she was pregnant and the family brought her indoors and
the children helped to raise the kittens to be family friendly.”
Personality:
Blizzard is a sweet and quiet kitten with a calm temperament and gentle nature. He likes
to be picked up and cuddled or carried, and will often follow his family around keeping tabs
on them. He has a wonderfully soft and plush coat. Blizzard is a pro at scaling the cat
tree. likes to perch on the top level for the best view, and often can be found sleeping on
the window sill (tired after observing the neighborhood). Like all kittens he is active and
adventurous. He bounds around after his siblings in games of Chase, jumps and swats at
the wand toys. What a nice little cat. Blizzard is ready to be adopted into his forever home
with a playmate or sibling. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
