Rescue:

Maxwell’s story told by his rescuer: When I moved to my new home Maxwell was living outside
and frequenting the neighbours’ homes. I started leaving food out and it became my mission
to capture this boy and bring him in out of the cold winters, as the only place to find cover was
under the trailer homes. It didn’t appear that anyone else was feeding him or concerned. I
created a better shelter, heated food and water dishes and tried to win his trust. It wasn’t
working for quite a while. Maxwell seemed to want to become friends with me but was nervous.
After months of trying, I finally won his trust enough that he would let me pet him and soon
he was coming inside for quick visits. The day finally came where he came in to visit, I quickly
shut the door and he was inside safe and sound. Success, tears and a happy dance that
finally he would be safe. No more hot, cold and wet nights of living outdoors anymore. Off to
Pet Patrol he went

Personality:

Maxwell is a very laid back boy who loves his head scratches and attention from his people.
He likes to curl up in a nice cat bed or in the sunshine, basking in the warmth. Toys were
always a mystery to him, he never had the opportunity to play with them before, but now can be
seen swatting at a crinkle ball, the wand toy and chasing the laser pen light. As a gentle cat he
is fine with a passive dog and gets along with other friendly cats. This handsome boy would
do well in a quiet home with older children or an adult only home. Maxwell is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors
