ADOPTION PROFILE

Tonka

Tonka

Tonka

Rescue:

This big gentle boy was first noticed a few years ago on a farm. A woman, who holds cats
dear to her heart, owns a small farm and takes care of quite a few cats that are drop offs, or
migrate from neighboring farms. Because she feeds the cats they tend to find their way to her
home. She also has feeding stations in the nearby small town, and tries to find homes for
those that are friendly. For Tonka, he was very easy going from the beginning and settled into
the heated space in the barn with the rest of the cats. He is fine with other felines, non-aggressive
dogs, children and new people He is a social butterfly for sure. As would happen, more
and more cats arrived and began breeding, and it was time for her to find homes for those that
are family friend.y. That included Tonka. By now he had had enough of the ever changing
weather conditions and desperately wanted into the house. Soon he was on his way to Pet
Patrol and made himself right at home.

Personality:

Tonka is described as a hefty orange and white boy, laid back, lovey-dovey and people oriented.
He wants to check out everything and be with people when they are sitting down, napping
or just to have a cuddle. Even though he is a stocky cat, he does like to be picked up and
carried, will lean into you for petting, ear rubs and back massages. In return he purrs deeply
and delightfully. Such a nice boy. He has some interest in toys, but anything with catnip is
great fun and he is at his most playful then. Tonka gets along well with other cats and passive
dogs, and would enjoy having a playmate in his new home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
