Rescue:

Such a big, elegant and majestic cat. This was the descriptions of this beautiful classic brown
tabby boy who was obvious abandoned when found. He had lived in a neighbourhood for
quite a few months, as summer turned to winter, and endured a lot of extreme weather
changes. He is so friendly and affectionate, and knew that he needed to get into the house as
the weather was turning bitterly cold, windy and rainy. Not conducive for a cat who has to
spend their entire day outdoors going from house to house searching for food or shelter. One
woman was very concerned about his well-being and started calling around to rescue organizations
to help bring him in. There is a possibility that he was left behind by people who had
moved and being unneutered felt they couldn’t take him with them. Once in our care this boy,
now named Handsome, settled right down. Very grateful to be rescued.

Personality:

Handsome is a very kind, calm and loving cat. He came into our care with a number of
scratches on his head and ears which indicates he is not a fighter. He was not the one to
instigate any battles with other tom cats outside and got the brunt of it. While residing at the
sanctuary he’s done extremely well with a number of cats that we have here, both male and
female. It has been wonderful to watch him relax, greet people as they come to the door, but
not daring to go out again. He’s a very social boy and is ready to be adopted into his forever
home. One that will welcome him into family and keep him safely indoors
