Rescue:
A couple who had been isolating during the Covid pandemic at their cottage, had brought very
sweet kittens to us early in the spring. They were friendly and affectionate and adopted into
new homes quickly. During the summer the mother was brought to us, and she too found a
home that adores her. Then late into the fall season we received an email asking “Do you
have room for one kitten about 5 months old, domesticate male. We would cover costs for all
shots etc. Just want to find a home for him. Found him at our cottage a couple months ago and
he won’t leave. Very cuddly.” This was Batman, so named because of his mask. He was not
an only kitten though, he had a brother named Pete, who came into our care as well.
Personality:
Both boys, on a daily basis show us their attachment for each other. Batman is quite outgoing
and relaxed with people, Pete is pretty good too, but wants his brother to be the lead investigator
for anything new. They are definitely bonded to each other, cuddling up in a heap of
black and white fur, purring contently, wresting with each other and sharing toys. They like to
watch out the window and see what is going on, but neither is interested in being out there.
They are lap cats and love to cuddle with their people, which is endearing to see. Batman
and Pete are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the
family and keep them safely indoors.
