Rescue:
We received a call from a very concerned woman, in regards to this lovely, fluffy cat that we
eventually named Kazzie. The woman said that she was walking along the wooded trail near
her home and had noticed this cat wandering around in the long grass. When she called to
her, the long haired cat came right up to her, happy to be noticed and to be pet. She danced
around on her tippy toes and purred deeply. But where did she come from. Looking just off
the trail she saw a plastic container, with a hole cut in the side and cat food inside. It was
obvious that this was Kazzie’s present home, as she had no other. The woman left, but returned
shortly with food for her, and then called Pet Patrol for help. One of our volunteers
arrived, shook a bag of treats and Kazzie came running out of her hiding spot. She was easily
picked up and placed in a pet carrier and on her way to the sanctuary and a vet check.
Personality:
“I walked by the place where I found the cat and was so relieved and pleased that I didn’t have
to see her all scrunched together to try and keep warm in the dark and cold etc. Thank you so
much again for rescuing this sweet cat. My cat loving friends are also very grateful.” this was
the message from the woman who notified us of Kazzie. This little cat is quite grateful as well.
She has settled in nicely at the sanctuary and although she is not buddies with the other cats,
she is ok with them. She is very friendly with people and sits right up for petting. She likes her
catnip toys and chasing after the laser pen light. Kazzie will be good company for someone as
an only cat or with another passive kitty. We are not sure how she is with dogs. She is ready
to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors.
