When I was born on the farm they thought I was a little boy until the other day when I was at the vet clinic. I was there to be neutered and the vet said that I was a girl. Surprise! The next surprise was the growth that I have on my face. It’s really big! It is pressing on my left nostril so I can’t breath very well out of that side, it gets in the way of eating, so my food dish has to be full to the top. I am a kitty that LOVES to rub my face on everything, but this caused my bump to bleed and get crusty. It does not hurt me so that is a good thing. The family that I lived with on the farm loved me to bits, the children were nice to me and I was deemed the ‘favourite’. They wanted to make sure the little colony of cats there were all looked after, spayed or neutered and vaccinated, but the growth on my face was not something they knew what to do with. They were hoping for some guidance from the vet. It is quite a concern because of how big it is, how young I am and how fast it grew. It needs to be removed as soon as possible. My family talked about how to afford the surgery of $900, but couldn’t make it work and Pet Patrol was contacted. With heavy hearts and a lot of tears I was brought to the sanctuary. So now I am waiting for my surgery day and hoping that nice people will donate enough to cover the cost. Pet Patrol is always willing to take in the kitties that need the help the most.
