Rescue:
A couple who live in a small town, in between two major cities, had noticed a lovely black cat
hanging around their little cul de sac. Everyone pretty much knows everyone in this little neighbourhood
and in conversation they discussed how good natured and friendly she was. No
idea where she came from, who might have owned her or if she was abandoned or migrated
from a near by farm. What they all agreed on was that this kitty, now named Fauna, was very
pregnant. She was long and lean in stature, but had a huge belly. Thinking forward they decided
to contact the local city shelter and cat rescue organizations to see who could accommodate
her. No one could, but finally they found Pet Patrol and brought her into our care. Not
long afterwards she gave birth to seven kittens, all similar in their mother’s colour and wonderful
personality
Personality:
Fauna is a lovely sleek and elegant cat. She loves to be pet and snuggled, will lay on your lap
or with you at bedtime slipping into a deep sleep purring deeply. Like all cats she is curious of
new rooms, what is in the cupboard and anything new coming into the house should be investigated
as well. Fauna can be chatty when asking for her nightly bedtime snack, wanting attention
or for you to open the bedroom door. She is fine with other cats and tolerant of the resident
dog. In her foster home that is a split level, she will sit on the railing between the kitchen
and family room observing the household activities. This lovely girl is good with children, easy
to pick up and be carried and will make a nice addition to a home. Fauna is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
