Stu

Rescue:

Poor Stu. He is a nice cat but has had unexpected changes in his life. The young couple who
originally adopted him from a city shelter loved him and cared for him, he was part of the
family. Years later they started their family and a wee baby was brought into the home. Stu
was not comfortable with the activity level, the routine change and the attention now redirected
from him to the new addition. They had hoped over time that he would adjust but instead he
was more uncomfortable and retreated away from them. He was not happy. A kind friend
offered to provide a new home for him, and the couple were happy that they would still be part
of his life, but it wasn’t working out for this lovely orange and while boy there either. The man
had a resident cat already, and having never lived with another cat before, Stu didn’t know how
to relate to her. Fast forward three months and the friend found himself having to move and
although his cat was welcomed, Stu was not going to be a good fit in the new home either. So
sad. Stu is now in Pet Patrol care looking for a forever home.

Personality:

Stu is a good sized cat who has settle into the sanctuary with the other cats well. He probably
wouldn’t mind a home with another older cat, as long as they don’t want to be buddy buddy
right away. He is a boy who likes to be brushed and his previous owners have taught him to
sit and give a paw for a treat. He prefers a quiet and calm life without children or a lot of
ruckus. He is a good cat to keep someone company without being under your feet or wanting
constant attention. Generally easy going and passive. Stu is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
