ADOPTION PROFILE

Rigley

Rigley

Rigley

Rescue:

Rigley was found at a local campsite where a lady was camping out for the weekend. Luckily,
she brought him home as he was just a kitten at the time and intended on finding him a new
home. Her neighbor, being a cat lover, offered him a home and all seemed fine. Fast forward
a year and Rigley had still not been fixed or taken to a vet for vaccination and most of his life
had been spend in just one room, a bedroom. The isolation was difficult. Being an unaltered
male cat, his urine was quite potent. Because of this he was tossed outside and not let back
in. This was such a shock to this poor cat. His neighbourhood has coyotes and fox frequently
roaming the area in search of unsuspecting prey. With no outdoor skills Rigley was at great
risk. The lady who initially rescued him eventually found out that he had been abandoned
again and immediately set a humane trap to secure him. She was quite upset with the person
that did this to him and voiced her opinion to them. Rigley was rescued withing a few nights
thankfully, and Pet Patrol was able to bring him into our care.

Personality:

Rigley has come a long way in his foster home. Initially he was shy and unsure of what to
expect. But with a regular routine, good food, treats and tender loving care he is now a much
happier cat. He likes his belly rubbed and will give you deep purrs of joy. His foster mom is
able to pick him up and have a nice cuddle with him. He can be a big ham and when the
camera comes out often rolls around in the most contorted positions. How can that be comfortable?
He would be great as an only cat, as he seems a bit intimidated by the resident cats
(although they are very sweet and gentle). Rigley will take a little while to settle into his new
home, but is ready for adoption into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
