Rescue:

One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers noticed a new cat, at her feeding station, during the winter
months. The cat was timid but would come back for the food and water (in a heated bowl so it
would not freeze). In early spring Sassie was becoming more friendly, very chatty, and was
looking a little chunky by now. The woman was determined to pet this little cat so she could
eventually see her belly, and yes – Sassie had had babies! Unable to find the nest, she now
had to wait for the babies to follow their mother to the feeding station. Then she would be able
to rescue the entire feline family. Being out in a small village there are a lot of places to hide
the kittens from harm, and the waiting is the hardest part. One day her husband texted her and
said he saw two kittens outside in their yard!!! Yay!! That night a humane trap was put out and
all were rescued and safely in the volunteers’ care until they could be delivered to Pet Patrol in
the morning. “So thankful for Pet Patrol for always being there to help these poor kitties who
are left to fend for themselves, thrown outside with nothing to protect them!”

Personality:

Sabre and Sahara are both very confident kittens and like nothing more than to be in your
arms. They like to be held, carried around and perch on your shoulder. They are two peas in
a pod when it comes to nap time and play time, preferring the company of each other for both.
If one does not see the other they will call out until the other answers, It is adorable. Both are
playful and fun loving cats. In their foster home they like the kitty tunnel, cat tree and especially
the perch on top as the basket is their ideal spot to view their world. Toys of all kinds are an
adventure for them and it is very entertaining to watch them run and jump, roll around with a
catnip mouse and chase after the plastic rings. Sabre and Sahara are ready to be adopted
into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them
safely indoors
