Rescue:
In a small community a woman had advertised this young orange and white kitten. She was
quite concerned about him as she found him running up and down the street and across the
road frightened and crying. He had no street smarts whatsoever. She picked him up easily
and he fell into her arms and purred all the way home. She placed him safely in the bathroom
and began to search for his owner. No one recognized him but she received a lot of suggestions:
scan him for a microchip, take him to the vet and try to find him a home. Another person
suggested a cat rescue and eventually he came into Pet Patrol care. She wanted to keep him
herself but already had two cats and financially felt that is all she could manage. As well, Iggy
had a damaged tail and would require further medical care beyond the usual neuter and vaccinations.
Soon he was in Pet Patrol care.
Personality:
Iggy is the most lovable cuddle machine. From the moment he arrived at his foster home he
wanted to be on a lap, anyone’s lap. Once settled in there, he will happily climb up on your
chest to be held. He is quite content to be pet and will purr with pure contentment. He will
follow you everywhere and when not on the floor he is on top of the cat tree. That generally
won’t last long as he wants to be a part of the action, will greet people, play with anything and
want to see what is going on. He can be found batting around balls, mousey toys and anything
that he can find to keep himself going. Iggy is an energetic, exciting kitty to have in a home
who loves all the attention he can get. He was abandoned and alone when found, and now just
wants to be held and loved unconditionally. This sweet boy is ready to be adopted into a
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
