Rescue:

During peak kitten season – which runs from mid June to mid August, Pet Patrol takes in
hundreds of kittens. They come from different environments (indoors, outdoors, homes, barns,
ditches and back yards) and some are in good health and others not. Nala and her nine other
siblings or cousins come into Pet Patrol care in one afternoon. They all came from one location – a nice clean home. A woman in a small town took in a female cat and her kittens. There
were four girls and two boys. It was very entertaining and the love was enormous for these cats
as they grew up in a family home. But she did not have them spayed or neutered and once
mature the females became pregnant. Now what to do? She thought that she would be able
to find homes for the kittens, but since there were several litters born within a 12 day period it
immediately became clear that she would not be able to do that . Between her local cat rescue
organization and Pet Patrol, the twenty or more kittens were taken into care. All are friendly
and loved, raised in a clean environment and were well cared for

Personality:

Nala is a quiet little girl who was not sure what was going on in her new environment. Coming
from a home with thirty odd cats, she was left to socialize with her siblings and mom, and had
to share her human with many others. It took her a few days to get used to her new care givers,
but now is more confident and playful. She is being introduced to toys and has been
testing them out for playability and is liking the kitty tunnel and cat tree. She loves to curl up on
a soft bed, your lap, inside boxes and cozy spots where she can seek privacy. Little Nala is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
