Rescue:
One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers contacted us about a family pet, Stitch who unfortunately, was in need of a new home. The family who cared for him originally had rescued him off the street
when he was quite young. He had a large gash on his face and they just could not leave him to
fend for himself, he was in desperate need of help. He was taken to the vet where it had to be
stitched up therefor he was given the name Stitch. As a lovely brown tabby boy he fit into their
family well, enjoyed their children and made himself at home. However over time they realized
that the children were allergic to him and they tried to find a new home for him. None could be
found in their circle of friends or family. They reached out to Pet Patrol to help find him a forever
home and on a very rainy Sunday afternoon Stitch came into Pet Patrol care.
Personality:
Stitch is such a lovely cat and once he was neutered he went to a foster home and made
himself comfortable in a very short period of time. He is often sprawled out on the floor or flops
over looking for belly rubs, and showing you just the right spot on his chest to scratch. He’s
also a huge cuddler, wants all of the pets and is a great lap cat. He likes to play with catnip
pillows, kicker toys and feathers on a wand – sometimes all three at once. He’s got a lot of
energy and likes to show off his skills. His purr is so loud and it starts the moment you get near
him. He has met the foster’s resident cats and likes to be near them. He is pretty chill about it.
Stitch is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors
