Rescue:
The same truck driver who had rescued one other kitten gave a call to Pet Patrol about a
week later. “I’ve got another one. Totally different location and definitely younger than the first
one I rescued.” He had just pulled in to the mill that he worked at and noticed a little black
figure scrambling underneath the air conditioning unit just outside the office. Unmistakeably a
little kitten. The area was littered with large rocks, some of which were jagged and if he had
fallen the wrong way, he may have gotten stuck.” A Pet Patrol volunteer was soon on site and
although the little guy didn’t totally run in fear, he was pretty unsure and tried to get back under
the AC unit. She easily reached under and picked him up; he was only four weeks old. Without
a peep he was placed in the cat carrier and was soon safe in Pet Patrol care. This was Ozzy
and he was very happy to have a tummy full of food and a long nap before going to join a
nursing mom. There he met his best buddy Woody.
Personality:
Ozzy and Woody are both very playful kittens who love to chase after the spring toy as it skitters
across the floor. They can find fun in everything. Their favourite place to view their world
is from the cat tree, looking out the window and also taking in the activities of the household.
Ozzy is a gentle soul and enjoys cuddles and pets. Woody is spunky and athletic. They
balance each other perfectly and can be found cuddled up in the softest bed or best sun
beam. Ozzy and Woody are a bonded pair and would like to be adopted together into their
forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep the safely indoors.
