Rescue:
Baby Haida arrived at Pet Patrol at just four weeks of age. We had received an email message
from a woman who had adopted a cat from us in the past, and she was concerned about
this kitten found on her son’s farm. Haida was found screaming her little lungs out, all by herself
with no momma or siblings around. It was obvious that she had an eye infection and the
son took her to his mother’s home for care. But the infection needed medical attention and at
that young age this kitten also needed a surrogate mom. Pet Patrol could provide both and
soon she was on her way to the sanctuary. The eye infection was easily managed with medication
and since then she has thrived. This little one is a fighter and she doesn’t let anything
stop her. As we have watched her grow and flourish, she has entertained our volunteers and
become such a sweet little cat
Personality:
Haida is a Smoke tabby, which means that when you part her dark fur, it is white underneath.
Quite rare and beautiful. This pretty kitty loves her people, all the attention and petting, and in
return purrs deeply with content. She is a very snuggly kitten and full of affection and a little bit
of mischief. She likes playing with feet, swatting at them as you walk by and trying to climb up
you for pets. Her favourite toys are bouncy/rolling balls and catnip mice, and of course kitty
tunnels, cat trees and a view of the birds and squirrels outside is quite exciting. Haida is
definitely one to forever admire you and give you love. She is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
