Rescue:
Nine kittens! That’s how many a lady had rescued from a desperate situation at a country
farm. This was a place that does things the traditional way, earn their money by selling produce
at the side of the road, farming and odd jobs. The woman saw very quickly that there
were a lot of kittens milling about. She talked to the father about them as she noticed the
children were not treating them well. “Watch this!” one boy said as he threw the kitten high in
the air towards the barn beam. It frantically grasped for anything to hang onto so that it would
not fall to it’s death. She had seen enough. With a little persuasion she gathered up all the
kittens and took them home. They were bathed, treated for parasites and thrived in her care.
Unable to confidently find homes for them she reached out to Pet Patrol and they arrived as
healthy, happy and alert kittens. An opportunity they would never have had if left on the farm.
This woman did a wonderful thing for these little cats.
Personality:
Silverado has two modes: play hard, and cuddle harder! He is very brave and curious, nothing
slows him down or scares him away. He is extremely friendly and loves to rub up against your
ankles, head or any body part he can get close to (especially when he thinks you haven’t given
him enough attention yet). When he’s done playing, he will settle down stretched out on his
back with his silver belly up for you to rub while he purrs like an engine and falls swiftly to
sleep. Silverado loves to carry around the little toy mice in his mouth and proudly show them
off to his brothers and humans. He’s all gray, with soft green eyes and adorably little dusty rose
toe beans (that he will even let you play with). Silverado is ready to be adopted into his forever
home. On that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
