Rescue:

A young woman had visited a friends family farm regularly but she had not been there for quite
some time. Returning for a quick visit she was quite surprised at what she found. There were
so many cats there now, as opposed to the nicely controlled colony of five or six, a few years
back. There were about twenty cats, and most were not spayed or neutered. The new owners
were not doing much to control the overpopulation so she decided to help. Little Nelson and
Nimbus came into our care with three other kittens who are not in great health. Their diet was
poor at the farm and they had to squeeze in between the adults to get to the food dish. Some
times they were pushed away. They would have had parasites as well and generally did not
look good. Their chance of survival was very low. When the kittens arrived in our care they
were dewormed right away and when presented with proper kitten food, they ate and ate and
ate. There was a remarkable difference in them the next day with full bellies and a good night
sleep. They felt so much better, were lively and obviously happy.

Personality:

Nelson and Nimbus are both sweet kitties who were shy at first, in their new foster home, but
warmed up to their caregivers quickly. Nelson is the more adventurous and playful of the two,
and enjoys being in the company of her foster mom. Nimbus also enjoys attention and affection,
but is a little more reserved and will want you to help him gain his trust with new people.
They both like playing with the laser pointer, and will play on their own with balls and other toys
as well. This adorable pair are very bonded, often meowing when their little buddy isn’t near,
and they can be found snuggled up snoozing or gently grooming each other. Nelson and Nimbus
are ready to be adopted into their forever home together. One that will welcome them into
the family and keep them safely indoors
