Rescue:

“I don’t know if that is my cat” This was the reply from a woman who was shown a photo of
Gemma. Surely you know what your kitty looks like or have photos so you can compare the
markings! It was all a little bewildering for the neighbour person who had rescued this pretty
Calico girl. This part of the city was more rural than city, it was a small community of trailers, in
a beautifully landscaped park. It is not uncommon to find stray cats there, which is concerning,
as there are fox and coyote in the area. They will prey on cats every chance they get. The
woman and her husband had just moved into the park and suddenly Gemma appeared, roaming
freely. Most residents kept an eye out for her and then the search was on for the owner. It
is still a mystery to this day but Gemma is now ready to be adopted into a dedicated and
loving home

Personality:

Gemma is a very sweet girl. She is affectionate and lets you know when she wants cuddles
and pets, but is also independent at other times. She loves being scratched around her ears
and will follow you wherever you go to explore and see what you are up to. Gemma has a
playful kitten personality and any toy is tested, tossed or chased. She has done well with the
foster home’s resident cat and loves playing with toys. In her past she was not picked up very often
and is a bit hesitant with that, but with time, patience and trust she will come around. Gemma
is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
