Rescue:

Charlie was found in a small town about 20 minutes from the city. He had been roaming the
neighbourhood that backs onto a green belt and beyond that, open fields. He looked weary, he
was thin and dirty and obviously had traveled a long distance without food or water. He went from
home to home seeking help, food and shelter. Some people fed him, some did not, and finally
he just laid down on one person’s back deck and stayed. He had nothing in his life, and he was
trying to get their attention as he was wounded and now not feeling well. Either he was going to
be cared for or he was going to die in plain sight. Such a desperate situation for such a nice cat.
The couple living in the house began to feed him and provide him with water, he perked up and
was welcomed into the home for visits. They weren’t planning on keeping him though and
searched for his original home, or for someone to adopt him. But he was not neutered, so not
wanted. Eventually they heard about Pet Patrol and brought him into our care where his wounds
were tended to, and he has thrived.

Personality:

Charlie is an adorable cat who makes himself at home easily. He was very fortunate to be rescued
when he was, as he had an injury to one of his toes. They can be hard to heal, and will
become badly infected very easily. Charlie recovered though, with proper vet care and a good
antibiotic. He is an endearing champagne coloured cat who loves everyone, is affectionate and
shows his appreciation for people, a nice foster home and plenty of food and fresh water. He is
becoming more playful and we can see he is a kitten an heart. Charlie is ready to be adopted
into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
