Rescue:

Volunteers to a rescue organization are invaluable. If it wasn’t for them offering to drop of
humane traps, pick up moms and babies, deliver them to the vet, foster them and help with
keeping the sanctuary top notch, Pet Patrol would not be where we are today. For sweet
Betty, she was discovered in the back yard of an older couple who had lived there for many
years. They don’t know where she came from, but she had her kittens in a space between
the solid wooden fence and the side of the garden shed. It was barely protected from
wind, and surely not comfortable for them if it should rain. Betty appeared to be shy but
not feral (wild) she was just in an unfortunate homeless situation with a little fur family to
support (Bear being one of her five kittens). She knew people would help her as she was
meowing at them, and that was our first indication that she was friendly. Soon a humane
trap was brought in, Betty went right in after the food and her kittens were quickly picked
up by our volunteers. All were soon on their way to Pet Patrol transported by our volunteers.

Personality:

Bear is the smallest of his siblings with the greatest sense of adventure. His motto is run,
jump and climb, and he lives up to it! He will never pass on an opportunity to wrestle around with
his brothers and chase tails, and nap time is an inconvenience that he’s learned will revive
his energy. This boy doesn’t stay still for long, and can make fun out of anything, but is
most interested in spring toys and dangling ribbons. This brave boy has few fears, and got
his name from the size of his paws – so big for a tiny boy! Bear is ready to be adopted into
his forever home with a sibling or playmate. One that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors
