Heineken

Heineken

Rescue:

When tragedy strikes, it often happens in threes, and sad circumstances lead to drastic
changes in one’s life. For Heineken and his house mate Kiwi they were affected as well by
what was happening in their families’ lives and came into Pet Patrol care to find a forever
home. Adopted together at a young age, they lived with a nice couple through moving homes,
careers, children and now unfortunately a break up. As this was happening the beloved family
dog passed away and a dear family member was undergoing serious medical care. What
more could happen to these people! After searching for a new home for the cats with family or
friends, and coming up empty, the family reached out to Pet Patrol for help in finding them a
new home. Although the cats have been raised together it seems they were more attached to
the family dog than to each other, therefore they can be adopted into new homes separately.

Personality:

Heineken’s personality very much resembles Garfield. He is kind, fairly quiet and slightly lazy
but will be very social and will come find you for a visit and a cuddle. He loves to be scratched
under the chin and on the sides of his face and likes to be pet from his head to halfway down
his back. He is good with kids, but gets a little startled if they come at him too fast or loud, and
he did well with the older dog in the family. Heineken likes to sleep on a comfortable chair/
sofa or on the foot of a bed. He absolutely loves to play with bottle caps and a paper/foil
peppermint gum wrapper. Usually a quiet boy, he is really only vocal if he’s hungry or can’t find
you. This handsome boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
