Emmie & Eriel

Emmie & Eriel

Emmie & Eriel

Rescue:

Eriel and Emmie came from a rundown farm property. Maintenance was limited and there
were cats everywhere. When our volunteer went to help with rescuing some of the cats, as the
farmers were trying to gain control of the colony, she was quite stunned by the number that
were there. She started off by bringing in these two girls and their siblings. Four calicos and
two orange and white kittens. They were all frightened because they had not been handled
right from birth so people were still rather scary to them. The farmer was happy to see the
kittens go to a cat rescue organization where they would be spayed and neutered, socialized
and new homes found for them. Otherwise they may have gone to another farm where they
would continue to breed and receive no health care. Pet Patrol is happy to have these lovely
kittens in our care.

Personality:

Eriel and Emmie are both very energetic little girls and like to play all the time. They are quite
the go getters and love their toys, but they can still be shy with people. They are easily entertained
at the window by watching and chirping at all the creatures outside (birds, squirrels and
neighbourhood dogs). Eriel is the more outgoing of the two girls, she is not yet comfortable
with being picked up, but will follow you around looking for pets and attentions. While her
sister Emmie is the shy one and she likes to sleep at your feet and she can be carried around.
They become chatty when looking for each other around the house and love to make sweet trill
noises when you first touch them. These pretty girls are ready to be adopted into their forever
home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
