JiJi

JiJi

JiJi

Rescue:

JiJi was originally thought to be a boy because of her majestic stature, but it was discovered
when he went into be neutered that he was a she. Quite a surprise. She was brought to Pet
Patrol in a humane trap as she was rescued by a kind couple who feared she would become
prey to the coyotes. JiJi was first noticed lurking along the borders of this remote property
near the reservoir. The couple who live there were very surprised to see her and two other
felines as well, as they had never noticed cats outside before. The first one they rescued was
Jerome, who was very friendly, then Jimini who to this day is quite feral, and then finally JiJi. It
was about a month in between each of the rescues as the cats by now were terribly frightened
of everything, had become nocturnal and winter was approaching. Luckily for them, they found
the right house and the right people to help them. It didn’t take long for them to be enticed into
the humane trap because it provided nice tasty canned cat food. Once secured, the trap was
covered to keep the cat calm and onto Pet Patrol’s sanctuary.

Personality:

JiJi has taken her time to trust people and is good with her foster mom. She pays attention to
what the woman is doing, knows the daily routine and appears quite comfortable in the home.
She is playful and likes anything with catnip, toys that make noise and interactive games like
the laser pen light and wand toys. But petting, well that is still a work in progress. This pretty
black kitty with the glossy coat is not too sure of it. Although the foster mom is diligent in working at gaining JiJi’s trust, it is developing but will take a very long time.
Patience is a virtue with this girl. JiJi has been adopted by her foster mom, as she feel that
no one would want a cat that is illusive. Both foster mom and JiJi are happy with the situation
and are doing well togethe
