Rescue:
Jewel and her feline family were born on a property that houses and sells recreational vehicles. The two ladies that manage the office have looked after these cats for many years. They are quite passionate about them, and made sure that they were fed twice daily, even on their days off. Shelters were provided for the cats, year round, that were insulated and had straw in them to keep the cats warm and dry. The owners of the company are retiring and the property has been sold and will be redeveloped, and the women wondered what will happen to the cats? A visiting couple took note of the situation and reached out to Pet Patrol to see if we would be able to help. They offered to rescue the cats and each day they brought in one or two cats until they were safely in our care. Although the kitties were not sure of the new people, they were not aggressive and some quite petable. It wont take long for them to be socialized as the women had earned their trust.
Personality:
Like the rest of her siblings, Jewel, has taken a while to trust people for touching and petting.
She previously had shelter, food and people mingling around her but not for affection and
attention. She’s done extremely well in her foster home and has expertise in playing, chasing
after toys, enjoying the cat climber, racing through tunnels and cardboard boxes. She is a
wonderful cat who doesn’t mind a good belly rub, petting, back massages and a cuddle. Jewel
is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors
