Rescue:
Callie Bear is such a cute cat, isn’t she? A very happy cat who likes to be pet and have her belly
rubbed. Her beginnings were a bit rough, but she was rescued as a kitten and brought into a
home in very short order. She did not have to live on the street long. The woman who rescued her
and cared for her loved her deeply, as she did with the three or four other cats she had in her
home. The problem was the other cats were picking on Callie and it just wasn’t getting any better.
This little cat certainly didn’t deserve it and the torment was starting to change her gentle personality. It was decided for Callie’s well-being that it would be better for her to go to a different forever home. One where there are no other cats or just one passive kitty who is very accepting.
She is a dear cat deserving of a home where she can relax and feel loved.
Personality:
From her rescuer: It might take Callie Bear a bit of time to adjust to a new environment, but she
warms up and will share cuddles and likes to sleep under the blankets. She enjoys having conversations and being told she’s pretty and prefers to be called Bear in a high-pitched pet voice.
Because she was tormented by the other cats she doesn’t do well with other felines but is used to
small animals, birds and dogs. She has been treated well by us and we like to give her sushi
grade salmon. She won’t eat any other people food, although she will ask. We are sad to see
her go and realize that she has a lot of love to share with her people, but can’t in this home.
Callie Bear is a sweet little cat who just wants a calm and kitty friendly forever home. One that
will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
